Who is SaturnSerkel?
I’m a digital artist, that doesn't just mean I draw cute anime girls or cool robots and post them on Twitter... I'm kidding, I do exactly that, but with (lack of) finesse, and I hope I can dedicate myself to this craft more than I already do.
I’ve started getting “good” at drawing circa 2022, but since I was born I have been drawing doodles on my computer. Trust me, it's the kind of work you'd be embarassed to admit you did it, we're talking about old embarassing badly drawn MS paint shit. I still have a lot to learn, it’s still a long road, but it’s something I’ll never give up on.
Learning to draw these days is a task that no sane person does. Why would you want to draw when machines do the job for you, when in the current year of our lord there is zero artistic integrity? When there are probably more important matters in our current landscape? Because, as I’ve said, it’s fun, because it’s a skill that lets your soul and personal tastes speak for itself.
My tools of trade are a mouse, a mid-specs laptop, and Medibang Paint Pro. I’m still learning to use a tablet, but at this point my brain chemicals were altered all these years to draw using just a mouse. I also study Graphic Design, so I have knowledge using tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
My main inspirations are artists like Hitoshi Ariga, Takegarou, Range Murata, Kaare Andrews, Tradd Moore and Joe Madureira.
My favorite games are Capcom and SEGA games, especially the Mega Man X titles and Phantasy Star Online, and my favorite movie might be Shin Kamen Rider at this point.
I hope you can remember this site, remember my art, and remember SaturnSerkel. This site is nowhere near perfect nor finished, just like his creator.
